The learning sessions in this course are delivered by your dedicated Warner Institute Course Manager,
in our live, interactive classroom hosted on Microsoft Teams.
The course also includes 3 face-to-face practical sessions where you'll get to practice hands-on skills.
These courses are the ‘right-ones’ for you if you are:
You will develop the latest best practice skills and knowledge necessary to truly connect with your clients, offering high-quality support as they navigate their daily lives.
CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability Support now has prerequisites. One of those prerequisites is the attainment of CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support Pathway Program. We've bundled these courses together so your pathway to attaining the Certificate IV in Disability Support is clear from the very beginning.
Your Course will support you to develop the current best practice skills and knowledge, while our Warner Institute Whole Person Delivery Model will aid you to gain a better understanding of self, others and their unspoken needs. This will enable you to maximise your delivery of compassionate, adaptive and effective, truly connected support that is required to enable your clients to achieve their daily activities and goals.
You will start with the pathway program incorporating the CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support and move seamlessly into the CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability Support.
You will build on your skills and experience so that you can deliver a higher level of specialised care, understand and implement positive behaviour support plans, with empathy and professionalism, for people with disability and diagnosed mental health conditions.

Our Whole Person Learning Model understands that you are unique and human and not a 'widget' in some training, factory-like, production line.
Few of us learn everything when it's delivered on a monotonous, boring, lecture-like standard way.
We understand that learning is more effective, interesting and fun if it draws on a variety of different modes; Visual, Auditory, Reading/Writing, and Kinesthetic.
This is why in every session, you'll get to talk, listen, role-play, watch, ask questions, solve and read. This means that you'll learn in ways that best suit you because the material is engaging and accessible.
Yes, we will!
If you are already working in a Disability Support role, you may not need to undertake Supervised Practice Placement - we’ll assess your role, and the supports you provide to your clients, and let you know what you need to do.
If you are not working in a relevant role, you will need to undertake Supervised Practical Placement for a minimum of 120 hours.
If you require placement, our Placement Team will organise Supervised Practical Placement for you.
They will work with you to arrange suitable placement and you will be required to commit to the placement dates and times provided by the Host Placement Provider. Observation Assessment will be made by a Warner Institute Course Manager while you are on placement.
Note that if you do not accept the host placement provider(s) as organised by Warner Institute then you will be required to seek your own alternative Warner Institute approved provider and this may delay your successful completion of the course.
Successfully completing this nationally accredited course provides you with the qualification to work in a range of roles within the ageing support and/or disability sector.
