This dual qualification course recognises the pace at which the Aged Care sector continues to evolve, with a greater focus on personal connections and interactions, and the empowerment of people receiving support as they age.

The Certificate IV in Ageing Support will provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to move beyond a task-focus, and truly connect with your clients as you engage them and support them to undertake their daily activities.

The Certificate IV in Leisure & Health will grow your understanding so that you can work with your clients and other health professionals to create and develop meaningful activities, and identify community events, where your clients can engage with purpose.

The dual qualification will support you to improve the overall wellbeing of every person you support – so you can confidently and competently support them to live their best lives.

This course has been designed for people who are currently working within the sector and wish to increase their skills and capability with professional development.

Will you organise my practical work placement for me?

Yes, we will!

To achieve this qualification, you must have completed at least 240 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency.

If you are already working in an Ageing Support role, or Leisure & Health role, we’ll help you to understand how many hours can be undertaken in your normal role, and how many will need to be done on placement.

This will vary depending on the types of work you are able to be exposed to in your normal workplace.

We’ll organise your supervised work placement if you need it.
Your Host Placement Providers will nominate the dates and times of your placement shifts.

Note that if you do not accept the host placement provider(s) as organised by Warner Institute then you will be required to seek your own alternative Warner Institute approved provider and this may delay your successful completion of the course.

What career pathways does this course open up for me?
